Collie has been announced as a finalist in the 2025 7NEWS Top Tourism Town Awards, recognising the town’s strong commitment to tourism, community engagement, and exceptional visitor experiences.
The awards, presented by Tourism Council WA and Visitor Centres WA, highlight Western Australian towns that go above and beyond to attract and welcome visitors. Collie is one of four finalists in the Top Tourism Town category, alongside Fremantle, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
This recognition reflects Collie’s growing reputation as a destination for outdoor adventure, cultural heritage, and natural beauty. With an expanding network of world-class trails, a vibrant arts scene, and a wide range of unique experiences, the town continues to strengthen its appeal to both local and international travellers.
Collie’s award submission was developed by the Shire of Collie and the Collie Visitor Centre through the South32 Worsley Alumina Tourism Partnership Initiative, which supports the ongoing development of local tourism.
Public voting for the awards is now open and runs until Thursday, May 1. By casting a vote, participants go in the draw to win a $5,000 WA travel voucher or a $500 RAC Parks & Resorts voucher.
The winner of the 2025 Top Tourism Town Award will be announced at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Conference Dinner in Fremantle on Wednesday, May 28. The winning town will receive a $20,000 regional TV advertising package and will progress to the national awards, representing Western Australia.
