The pool is a ‘Watch Around Water’ pool. Children under 12 years of age will not be admitted without a parent or appropriate guardian of at least 16 years of age. Collie Mineworkers Memorial Pool – Update
The Shire of Collie advises that the Collie Mineworkers Memorial Pool is unable to be opened at this time following ongoing investigations into the chlorine incident that occurred on the 16 March 2025.
Shire staff have been working diligently to ensure the pool can safely resume full operations as soon as possible but has been unable to open the pool until approvals have been received from relevant state government agencies. Council shares the community’s desire to see the facility reopened and is committed to doing so.
A public announcement will be made once an opening date has been confirmed.
The Shire appreciates the community’s continued patience and understanding during this time.
