Under the Food Act 2008 the proprietor of a food business must not conduct a food business at any premises unless the proprietor has given written notification in respect of those premises to the enforcement agency, which for Collie is the Shire of Collie.  This provision applies both to commercial proprietors and to charitable groups.

In most instances notification fees are waived for charitable or community groups.
