The Shire is currently undertaking a major review of the Local Government Heritage Inventory, which is expected to be completed in late 2011.  It is intended to update this page as the review progresses.

At this stage the 1995 Municipal Heritage Inventory remains current. This list includes places that range in status from “Historic site without built features – recognise with a plaque…” through to places that are currently listed on the State Heritage List.  Inquiries about places on the list should be directed to the Shire Planner. A copy of this list can be downloaded by clicking on the related documents panel on the right.

The Heritage Council of Western Australia has numerous publications that would be of interest to owners that have properties with heritage value to the community.  Key publications relevant to owners in the Shire of Collie are listed in the related documents panel on the right.  Two of the publications Design in Context – Guidelines for infill development in the historic environment” and “Guide to Developing Heritage Places” are  available for loan from the Shire’s library.

A related document of interest to people with properties that have heritage value is Heritage legislation – does it increase or decrease the value of my property which was published in the Australian and New Zealand Property Journal in June 2008.  This document can be found in the related documents panel on the right.
